This will provide you with the information you need about the New Homes Quality Code (the Code) and the New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS).
We understand that the Code may be challenging for the industry, but we are committed to helping developers make a smooth transition.
Developer Registration
To apply with the NHQB, please click here and complete the process. Once submitted, you will have access to tools and support to aid your readiness preparations, including
- Logos and branding guidelines,
- FAQs
- Templates of various forms; template letters and paragraphs for the new complaints process and template checklists for the Pre-Completion Inspection
- Online training module for all customer-facing employees and/or agents.
This will include access to the following:

Template checklists for the Pre-Completion Inspection
Access to an online training module for your employees and/or agents
Once your preparations are complete, we will work with you to activate your status as a Registered Developer.
From that point, all reservations taken will be subject to these arrangements, and you will be expected to follow the requirements of the Code and the remit of the NHOS.
